For the tenth time, the Norwegian Innovation Day brought together innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders for professional refills and inspiration. Speakers from various companies who have succeeded with innovation shared their experiences and viewpoints. Banqsoft was present to keep up with news and trends in the marketplace.

Innovation - from idea to competitive advantage

The conference focused on the most exciting and relevant topics that affect society and occupy people's everyday lives and looked more closely at how Norway proactively should meet the challenges of tomorrow, where we are heading, where developments will take us, and how everyday life can look like in the "near" future.

The program consisted of many exciting and inspiring topics:

  • Opening remarks by the Mayor of Oslo
  • What in the world happens in our world
  • What’s cooking in Norway
  • Holistic leadership; Plato’s old dream or new reality?
  • Art, social shift and new ways to contribute
  • Are universities necessary in the future?
  • Innovation leadership
  • Why failing brilliantly is key to success

The Mayor of Oslo held a speech about Norway's "environmental capital" and the combination of focusing on both environment and innovation.
By removing parking lots and cars and replacing them with more green spaces and meeting places, this has created an increasing climate commitment, cleaner air, a safer city, more space for pedestrians and cyclists, more efficient public transport and a clear growth in business and trade.

Global innovation superstars such as SalesForce and Japan Innovation Network both pointed out that little Norway in many ways is leading the way in the future. Keynotes from innovative leaders & changemakers such as Norwegian Airline, Norsk Tipping and Equinor pointed to the importance of creating a culture of innovation and cross-functional teams to succeed.

Innovation Award to Norwegian Airline

One of Norway's largest entrepreneurs of all time, Bjørn Kjos was as always forward-looking and pointed to Blockchain as a technology with the potential to change both the tourism sector and most other industries.

He was honoured with the Innovation Award. See an interview with him in the link below (Norwegian speech only):

There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference.

The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.”
